In a heartwarming collaboration, Indian Coast Guard Air Station Daman, in partnership with Rainbow Super Specialty Hospital, Vapi, has made accessing quality healthcare easier and more convenient for approximately 4000 defence veterans and their dependents residing in Daman, Vapi, and Valsad. Previously, defence veterans faced daunting journeys of over 200 kilometers to Mumbai for medical treatment under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS). However, thanks to the concerted efforts of the Coast Guard and Rainbow Specialty Hospital, veterans can now receive cashless and hassle-free treatment right in Vapi itself, sparing them from the burdensome travel.

Through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) exchanged in March 2024, Rainbow Hospital has been designated as a healthcare provider under ECHS, ensuring that veterans receive top-notch medical care and attention. The recent awarding of the ECHS symbol to Rainbow Super Specialty Hospital further underscores its commitment to serving our veterans with compassion and care.
